Tax Manager, Investment Management, Private Wealth (Central Region Office Locations) - $84,980 to $169,650 salary range

Position Summary

- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in multiple areas of taxation for a Tax Manager role in Deloitte's growing Private Wealth practice
- Responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held businesses
- Must have an understanding of AGI and DNI and be able to provide solutions to complex tax issues
- Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2025

Responsibilities

- Conduct high-level reviews of tax research and tax returns for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning and transaction implications
- Train, mentor, and supervise Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles and handle billing and profitability analysis
- Participate in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Private Wealth team specializes in serving the needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners
- Provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Helps clients make informed decisions regarding personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving

Qualifications

Required

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days per week in-person co-locating
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for work and clients
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting (3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, CFP

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior experience at a Big 4 firm
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Salary Information

- Wage range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs
- Range estimate is $84,980 to $169,650
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances, and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for this role
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
