Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as an Assistant General Counsel. This role will be responsible for coordinating requests for information, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, managing government contracts, providing legal advice to sales and procurement professionals, and supporting the company's ethics and compliance program. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate and at least 6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house, with knowledge of US government acquisition processes and experience in the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities: • Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs)/Requests for Proposal (RFPs)/Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with internal and external customers. • Draft and negotiate complex commercial and government contracts. • Manage GSA Contract with the Federal Government, including serving as responsible point of contact for Small Business Subcontracting Plan and Report. • Provide legal advice to sales and procurement professionals on a broad range of contracting issues. • Support and implement process improvement techniques to ensure compliance with company policy and applicable law. • Assist with the evaluation of potential dealers and distributors. • Provide training and support for the company's Ethics & Compliance program. • Contribute to a culture of diversity and inclusivity. Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate or LLM required, with an undergraduate or advanced degree in a related field and state bar membership. • 6+ years of prior experience in a law firm, in-house, or a combination. • Knowledge of the US government acquisition process and experience in the manufacturing sector. • 5+ years of experience drafting and reviewing contractual agreements. • Experience managing outside counsel and advising clients on compliance matters.
