A law firm in Topeka, KS is seeking an Associate Attorney to represent clients and ensure the delivery of top-notch legal services. The role primarily involves managing personal injury caseloads, interacting with insurance companies, and maintaining positive client relationships.

 

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads from pre-litigation claim processes to potential litigation.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Draft various legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, etc.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all legal documents prepared.
  • Adhere to all legal standards and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Missouri and Kansas.
  • 1+ years of experience pursuing or defending personal injury law claims, workers’ compensation, disability, or civil litigation.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent, responsive, and compassionate client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and tech-savvy.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active Bar license in Missouri and Kansas.

 

Skills:

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Legal drafting skills and attention to detail.
