A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Anchorage. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience in the renewable energy industry and familiarity with various agreements such as power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on renewable energy projects
  • Draft and review agreements related to project development and finance
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on renewable energy projects
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts related to renewable energy projects
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on legal matters

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in project development and finance
  • Familiarity with renewable energy industry agreements
  • Legal research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
