Duties
- Assist supervising attorney in the management of family law cases
- Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
- Propound and respond to discovery, prepare to meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
- Conduct telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits
- Develop witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial
- Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
- Track billable time
Requirements
- Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
- 2-5 years of experience desired
- Fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team
Education
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
