Duties:

  • Actively participate in selling the firm's capabilities and contributing to its growth.
  • Conduct thorough research on novel and complex legal issues in transportation law.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of case nuances.
  • Prepare complaints, motions, jury instructions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with Partners to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
  • Work closely with experts to understand and present case-specific details.
  • Argue motions in open court, showcasing legal acumen and persuasive skills.
  • Prepare for and conduct lay and expert depositions, contributing to evidentiary foundation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Proven experience as an attorney with a strong background in transportation law, general liability, and personal injury.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions, attending court appearances, mediations, and drafting/opposing motions.
  • Familiarity or proficiency with Westlaw and Filevine.
  • Civil trial experience, with first chair experience being a significant advantage.
  • Energetic, positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent work products.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, follow through, and meet deadlines.
