A law firm is seeking an Employment and Labor Lawyer in Los Angeles, California, with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

• Provide legal counsel and representation in employment and labor law matters.
• Handle various legal tasks including research, drafting, attending court appearances, and responding to inquiries.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research in employment and labor law.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
• Attend court appearances and represent clients in legal proceedings.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests and meet and confer letters.
• Defend individual and class action wage and hour and PAGA claims in court and arbitration.
• Respond to government investigations and inquiries.
• Draft and review employment and severance agreements, employment policies, and Employee Handbooks.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• California employment litigation and advice and counseling experience.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical, verbal, writing, and case management skills.
• Admission to and membership in good standing of the California Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar.
