A law firm in Durham is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join their team. As a Commercial Real Estate Attorney, the candidate will play a pivotal role in handling various aspects of commercial real estate transactions and common-interest community ventures. This entails reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, and drafting a myriad of legal documents essential to such transactions. Additionally, the candidate will oversee and manage others to ensure timely closings and adherence to crucial milestones. Duties:

  • Review, analyze, negotiate, and draft agreements, deeds, loan documents, leases, declarations and covenants, and other instruments pertinent to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Supervise and manage team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of closings and other essential milestones.
  • Provide expertise on various aspects of relevant law, including title, environmental regulations, corporate governance, and government compliance.
  • Address post-closing issues and provide legal guidance as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience representing developers, lenders, landlords, and other stakeholders in commercial real estate acquisition, purchase, financing, and leasing.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial real estate law and related regulations.
  • Ability to persevere and maintain attention to detail, especially when dealing with complex transactions.
  • Flexibility to work outside typical business hours to meet critical deadlines.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the State Bar in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Leadership qualities to effectively supervise and guide team members.
