As a litigating component of the Department of Justice, the USTP's mission is to promote the integrity and efficiency of the bankruptcy system for the benefit of all stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bankruptcy law and contribute to the administration of justice for all Americans. Job Description: The USTP is seeking law student volunteers for two different positions: Executive Office for . Trustees (EOUST) Law Interns and Field Office Law Interns. The EOUST interns will work in-person at the headquarters in Washington, DC and assist with a variety of projects and studies related to consumer and chapter 11 bankruptcy law. The Field Office interns will work in one of the 89 field offices located throughout the country and assist attorneys with various tasks such as preparing for court appearances, developing bankruptcy fraud referrals, and attending hearings. Qualifications: Successful candidates will be second and third-year law students with excellent research and writing skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work as part of a small team of professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in bankruptcy, litigation, administrative law, policy, and legislation. Applicants must be . citizens.
