The United States Trustee Program (USTP) is currently seeking second and third-year law students to join their team as volunteer interns for the Fall 2024 term. Job Description:

The USTP is seeking law student volunteers for two different positions: Executive Office for . Trustees (EOUST) Law Interns and Field Office Law Interns. The EOUST interns will work in-person at the headquarters in Washington, DC and assist with a variety of projects and studies related to consumer and chapter 11 bankruptcy law. The Field Office interns will work in one of the 89 field offices located throughout the country and assist attorneys with various tasks such as preparing for court appearances, developing bankruptcy fraud referrals, and attending hearings.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be second and third-year law students with excellent research and writing skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work as part of a small team of professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in bankruptcy, litigation, administrative law, policy, and legislation. Applicants must be . citizens.
