Insurance Defense Attorney - Protecting Policyholders' Rights and Making a Positive Impact at Liberty Mutual

H1: Join Our Legal Team as an Insurance Defense Attorney at Liberty Mutual

H2: Competitive Salary and Benefits Package for Experienced Litigation Attorneys

Liberty Mutual is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our legal team as an Insurance Defense Attorney. This role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $114,000, determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including eligible performance bonuses, 20 days of flexible time off, personal holidays, a pension plan, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions.

As an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will represent Liberty Mutual and our policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation matters involving claims for monetary damages or compensation for personal injuries or property damage of moderate value. In addition, you will develop appropriate legal strategies and share them with claims representatives and insured clients, while also building relationships with internal and external partners.

We are looking for an experienced litigation attorney with at least three years of successful experience conducting discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Membership in the California Bar is required, and appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts are preferred. You should also have a talent for cultivating strong working relationships, detail-oriented and analytical thinking skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

At Liberty Mutual, we value diversity and inclusion, and we are committed to creating an open, inclusive, and respectful workplace. We have been recognized as a "Great Place to Work" for several years and have been named one of the "100 Best Places to Work in IT" by IDG's Insider Pro and Computerworld.
