A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney for their Denver office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law, particularly in the life sciences sector, and possess the necessary qualifications and skills to excel in litigation.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation (Life Sciences) Associate Attorney will play a critical role in handling intellectual property litigation matters, particularly within the life sciences industry. This position requires a proactive approach to client representation, strong legal research and analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Managing all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, motion practice, and trial proceedings.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client initiatives within the life sciences sector.
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents for submission to courts and administrative bodies.
  • Collaborating with partners, associates, and support staff to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Counseling clients on intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret litigation, and providing strategic advice for ongoing legal issues.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to a State Bar is required.
  • Strong academic credentials in law and undergraduate coursework.
  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, or Biochemistry is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to take on increased levels of responsibility.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases within the life sciences industry.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client management and relationship-building skills.
