A law firm in Fairfax is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should have Virginia State Bar membership, superior legal analysis and writing ability, with judicial clerkships being a plus. Experience in medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, or personal injury litigation is preferred, along with experience in motions practice and conducting depositions.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to medical malpractice defense cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist in case management and strategy development.
  • Attend court proceedings and represent clients in hearings.

 

Requirements:

  • Virginia State Bar membership.
  • 2-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Superior legal analysis and writing ability.
  • Judicial clerkships are a plus.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Virginia State Bar membership.
