Job Overview:

As a Corporate Counsel - Privacy Data Governance at Intuit, you will play a critical role in driving the company's data governance initiatives. You will report to the Sr. Assistant General Counsel, Data Governance & Enterprise Privacy, and partner with key stakeholders to enhance customer trust and brand equity through privacy-first practices. This role is part of Intuit's world-class Legal Compliance & Policy Organization and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel for day-to-day data governance advice and manage engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze and contribute to the company's understanding of the impact of emerging technology on data governance
- Assist with the enhancement and automation of processes related to data governance initiatives
- Negotiate data protection agreements and other contractual collateral concerning personal information
- Interface with external counsel to align company practices with global data protection requirements
- Document requirements and formalize processes for responsible data management
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the company
- Contribute to the communication of the Data Privacy team's mission and vision
- Make suggestions to improve internal processes and practices
- Learn and grow as part of a collaborative and diverse team

Qualifications:

- At least 3 years of experience in data privacy
- Working knowledge of relevant data privacy laws in the US and abroad
- A learning mindset and comfort operating in the gray
- Experience providing legal support in the private sector or at a law firm
- Ability to communicate with business partners about regulatory obligations and risk management processes
- Concise and efficient communicator
- JD and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar
- IAPP Privacy certification preferred, but not required

Salary Information:

- Expected base pay range: Bay Area California $172,500 - 233,500, Southern California $161,500 - 218,500
- Eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits
- Pay is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location
- Regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender to drive pay equity for employees
