A law firm in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a skilled Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The selected candidate will assist in handling construction defect cases and providing legal support to clients in this specialized area of law.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to construction defect cases.
• Assist in drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations.
• Represent clients in mediation sessions and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy.
• Review construction contracts, building codes, and relevant documents.
• Perform site inspections and investigations related to construction defect claims.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
• 1-6 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on construction defect litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with construction law and building codes is desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
