Responsibilities:

- Providing legal advice, counsel, and representation for insureds and/or CSAA IG before courts or arbitration panels.
- Preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, etc. with input from claims specialists.
- Appearing and advocating on behalf of CSAA IG and its member insureds.
- Conducting all phases of personal injury litigation, including jury trials, motions, and arbitration hearings.
- Handling complex legal matters or projects, including non-litigation matters.
- Anticipating and advising on potential legal issues impacting insurance and motor club operations.
- Serving as a resource for assigned legal disciplines and resolving major issues within specialty area with independence.

Requirements:

- . degree and active admission to practice law in California.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance defense practice preferred.
- Knowledge of personal injury law, general liability insurance coverage, and CSAA IG policies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer skills, including MS office and online research tools.
- Knowledge of medical-legal issues pertaining to tort law.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload of complex cases efficiently.
- Creative, persuasive, and effective advocacy skills.
- Willingness to travel for court proceedings, trial procedures, and other in-person meetings related to court cases.
