As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. This includes working with a team of specialists to assist clients with US and global documentation, information reporting and withholding tax issues. You will also have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art digital tools and technology to efficiently produce client deliverables. Responsibilities: - Provide guidance to clients regarding compliance with global tax information reporting rules. - Research complex tax issues and reach appropriate conclusions for clients. - Apply tax technical skills in reviewing IRS tax forms and related tax documentary evidence. - Lead staff in preparing and filing information returns, FBAR, and FATCA & CRS returns. - Develop innovative technology solutions to increase efficiency. - Assist in the development of educational materials for information reporting and withholding requirements. - Train and manage local staff and contribute to the development of team's technical acumen. - Understand applicable US tax rules and requirements. - Familiarity with Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). - Possess strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. - Drive success as both an individual contributor and team member. - Identify and address client needs by actively participating in discussions and meetings. - Willingness to travel in a post-covid world. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. - 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and advisory work. - CPA, Enrolled Agent, or active member of the Bar certification. - Knowledge of Management Information Systems & Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Accounting preferred. - Additional education such as ., . in Taxation or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university preferred. Preferred Skills: - Extensive experience in providing guidance on global tax information reporting rules. - Ability to research complex tax issues and provide appropriate solutions. - Familiarity with IRS tax forms and related tax documentary evidence. - Experience with information returns such as Forms 1099 and 1042-S, FBAR, and FATCA & CRS returns. - Proficiency in using digital tools and technology to increase efficiency. - Knowledge of educational materials for information reporting and withholding requirements. - Strong training and management skills. - Understanding of applicable US tax rules and requirements. - Familiarity with Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). - Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication skills. - Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work well in a team and individually. - Strong client service skills. - Willingness to travel in a post-covid world.
