The ideal candidate will have a background and familiarity with tax law and a keen interest in working with the firm's diverse non-profit corporate clients. Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, along with admission to practice in Vermont or eligibility for admission, are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in transactional and corporate matters.
  • Assist in mergers, asset and stock acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, corporate law, or secured finance matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional and corporate law.
  • Familiarity with tax law is preferred.
  • Interest in working with non-profit corporate clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong writing and legal research skills.
  • Admission to practice law in Vermont or eligibility for admission.
  • Admission to practice law in New Hampshire is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Vermont State Bar or eligibility for admission.
