The Insurance Tax Manager is a highly specialized position within the financial services tax practice of PwC. This role is responsible for providing tax advice and guidance to clients in the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally. The Insurance Tax Manager will also work with a team of professionals to help clients navigate the constantly changing and complex tax environment in the financial services industry.

Salary Information:

The salary for an Insurance Tax Manager at PwC can range from $80,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Bonuses and other benefits may also be included in the compensation package.

Experience Information:

- Minimum of 4 years experience in the tax industry
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or member of the Bar certification preferred
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

As an Insurance Tax Manager at PwC, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Providing tax advice and guidance to clients in the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally
- Helping clients understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Managing operational tax risks and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions
- Assisting with tax structuring and addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world
- Developing new skills and expanding knowledge outside of your comfort zone
- Resolving issues that may prevent the team from working effectively
- Coaching and mentoring team members and encouraging their personal development
- Analyzing complex ideas and proposals and providing meaningful recommendations
- Using data and insights to inform decision-making
- Managing diverse viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes
- Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Insurance Tax Manager at PwC, you should have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the tax industry
- CPA or member of the Bar certification preferred
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs and building and maintaining client relationships
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor team members
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred
- Ability to work in a constantly changing and complex environment
