Job Title: Privacy Counsel Location: Cupertino, California, United States Department: Legal Experience: 6-10 years Apple is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team in Cupertino, California. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You will play a crucial role in upholding Apple’s high ethical and corporate standards, as well as defending our intellectual property. As a Privacy Counsel, you will be responsible for advising and providing support on privacy related aspects for Apple’s various products and services. This includes working closely with legal, engineering, and business teams to design innovative privacy solutions and provide guidance on cutting-edge privacy issues. You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Key Qualifications: - 6-10 years of privacy experience as an associate at a premier law firm or business - Knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices - Understanding of US state and federal sector-specific privacy laws - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail - Ability to lead and provide direction in ambiguous situations - Experience drafting and negotiating privacy related contracts - Ability to identify and communicate potential risk areas - Strong partnership skills at all levels of the organization - JD with admission to at least one US state bar Responsibilities: - Advise the business on legal, regulatory, and business standards related to privacy - Support and monitor a privacy program to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Coordinate internal and external investigations, compliance reviews, and monitoring activities - Stay informed of and communicate changes to privacy laws, regulations, and guidance - Identify and communicate potential risk areas with leadership Education & Experience: - JD with 6-10 years of experience in privacy - Admission to at least one US state bar Pay & Benefits: - Base pay range: $217, - $326, - Opportunity for progression and development within the role - Discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchase options - Comprehensive medical and dental coverage - Retirement benefits - Discounts on Apple products and services - Reimbursement for certain educational expenses - Possible eligibility for bonuses, commissions, and relocation assistance Apple is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and diversity.
