This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative and dedicated group of in-house attorneys, providing legal advice, negotiating deals, and drafting agreements for one of LA's fastest-growing startups.

Job Summary:

The Capital Markets Transactional Attorney will work with various departments within the organization to negotiate and draft contracts and service agreements related to transactions. They will also manage due diligence and contract negotiations for various capital markets transactions, review and negotiate transaction documents, and provide legal advice to internal departments on compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities:

- Negotiate and draft contracts and service agreements related to transactions
- Manage due diligence and contract negotiations for various capital markets transactions
- Review and negotiate transaction documents prepared by outside counsel
- Anticipate and propose mitigation strategies for potential risks
- Review and negotiate vendor and merchant agreements
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with different departments within the company
- Coordinate with other members of the in-house legal team on various tasks
- Advise internal departments on compliance with regulations and identify legal and business risks

Requirements:

- Law degree from a reputable law school
- Membership in CA State Bar or In-House Counsel Registration in CA
- 4+ years of experience in law firms or in-house handling capital market transactions
- Extensive hands-on experience with multiple capital market transactions
- Experience reviewing vendor agreements is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Impeccable organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Collaborative nature and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in banking, consumer finance, or compliance is a plus
- Experience in open-end or closed-end consumer credit is a plus

Salary Information:

Sunbit believes in paying fairly and equitably based on factors such as experience, work history, and location. The targeted base salary for this role is $145,000 - $225,000, and company equity will also be granted via stock options.
