Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Companies Resource Attorney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for staying updated on all legal and regulatory developments pertinent to the Public Companies practice group, developing practice resources, maintaining archives, coordinating with various departments, and providing support for business development activities.

Duties:

  • Keep current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Public Companies practice group.
  • Develop topics for and assist in the preparation of client alerts and similar publications.
  • Develop practice resources to enhance know-how exchange within the Public Companies practice group and foster interaction with clients.
  • Create, maintain, and update archives of work products and know-how within the Public Companies practice group.
  • Maintain and update forms and templates for the Public Companies practice group, ensuring alignment with legal developments and industry standards.
  • Provide information to the Marketing department for responses to RFPs and other business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Professional Development to enhance skills development within the Public Companies practice group.
  • Collaborate with Information Services to assess available technologies and develop new solutions to leverage efficiencies and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney with significant prior experience in the Public Company practice area.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience representing Public Companies in current and periodic reporting as well as Corporate Governance.
  • Mastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the Public Company practice group.
  • Knowledge of industries regularly advised by the firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills.
  • Confident and engaging presenter.
  • Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Team player with collaborative skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
