Job Overview:

The Eminent Domain Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of eminent domain and real property litigation, including law and motion practice, trial preparation, and case management. Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of eminent domain and real property litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and present cases for trial, including developing evidence and witness examination.
  • Interview witnesses and take and defend depositions.
  • Collaborate with partners and other team members to strategize and execute case objectives.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in eminent domain or real estate/real property law.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Prior experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.
  • Interest in contributing to the firm's brand and reputation.

Preferred:

  • Experience in eminent domain or real estate/real property law.
  • Prior trial experience.
  • Knowledge of California eminent domain laws and procedures.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
