A law firm is seeking a Labor And Employment Associate Attorney for its Anchorage, AK location with the following responsibilities:

Job Overview: The Labor And Employment Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for handling labor and employment law matters, including but not limited to litigation, counseling, and transactional work.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to labor and employment issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair in trials.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment-related matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with a focus on California employment law.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Experience conducting depositions and handling administrative hearings.
  • Federal clerkship experience is highly desired.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
