Tax Senior - Nat'l Federal Tax Services - Partnership Solutions Group Salary Information: - The wage range for this role is $77,070 to $175,500, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. - Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program is also possible, subject to program rules and performance factors. Job Title: Tax Senior Experience Information: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal partnership tax - Previous experience in transaction and M&A, as well as Alteryx, is preferred - Advanced degree such as master’s in science of tax (MST), JD, or LLM is also preferred Position Summary: - Seeking a tax specialist who is frustrated with traditional tax compliance roles and has a passion for client consultation and technology. - Opportunity to work with large-scale operating partnership tax clients across various industries, including private equity, healthcare, tech, financial products, oil & gas, green energy, and real estate. - Deliver value to clients undergoing public offerings and interact with external counsel, underwriters, and capital market professionals. - Develop an understanding of public monetization transactions and create cutting-edge technology for partnership tax, data analytics, and user experience. - Implement strategic tax structures and processes, and oversee complex tax computation projects. - Identify service opportunities, manage client accounts, and advance Deloitte initiatives. The Team: - National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP. - NFTS service offerings are developed and built with the purpose of delivering results for clients. - NFTS service lines provide tax planning for the largest organizations across all industries. - Operational Partnership Services (OPS) is a part of the Partnership Solutions Group within NFTS. - OPS professionals counsel privately-held and publicly-traded partnerships on federal tax issues and transactions. - Industries served include private equity, real estate, telecom, technology, healthcare, media & entertainment, energy, retail, and financial services. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week. - 2+ years of experience in federal partnership tax. - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field. - Strong numerical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio. - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. - Demonstrated research skills. - Strong time management and prioritization abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to travel up to 25% based on client needs and industry sectors. - Eligibility for one of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, CFP. Preferred: - Advanced degree such as master’s in science of tax (MST), JD, or LLM. - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience. - Transaction and M&A experience. - Experience with Alteryx.
