A law firm in Jackson is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of experience and robust renewables experience to complement the Firm’s current energy practice. The ideal candidate will counsel clients on various renewables projects, with a focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements.

Duties:

• Counsel clients on renewables projects, emphasizing facilities operations and power purchase agreements.
• Provide legal advice and representation in litigation matters related to renewable energy.
• Develop case strategies and manage all aspects of litigation proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on renewable energy laws and regulations.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
• Maintain and foster client relationships and develop a portable book of business.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Litigation Attorney.
• Robust renewables experience, particularly in wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
• Portable book of business.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing of the Bar.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in renewables projects and energy law.
