Salary Information:

The disclosed range estimate for this role is $63,420 to $144,300, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Please note that compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. In addition, you may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules.

3+ years of experience in federal taxation, with a strong emphasis on tax-exempt organizations, including health care providers, health plans, private foundations, and other community organizations. Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm is also preferred.

Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in tax-exempt organizations to join Deloitte's Business Tax Services Tax-Exempt practice.
- The role will involve providing tax compliance and consulting services to non-profit clients, including health care providers or plans, private foundations, public charities, higher educational institutions, and other non-profit organizations.
- As a Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to an elite group of specialists.
- The role also offers the chance to work with like-minded Tax-Exempt professionals from across the country on a regular basis.
- Responsibilities will include maintaining and developing client relationships, advising on tax issues, overseeing compliance projects, and working with colleagues from other areas of the firm on planning projects.
- The position requires the ability to work within a hybrid work model, with in-person co-location required 2-3 days per week.
- Travel of up to 25% may be required, depending on the clients and industries/sectors served.

What You'll Do:

- Provide tax compliance and consulting services to non-profit clients, including health care providers or plans, private foundations, public charities, higher educational institutions and other non-profit organizations.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting/compliance engagements.
- Advise clients on a variety of tax issues including compliance, business restructuring, exemption strategies, philanthropic and charitable giving planning, and tax controversy.
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Work directly with sophisticated clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to an elite group of specialists.
- Interact and collaborate with like-minded Tax-Exempt professionals from across the country on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in federal taxation, with a strong emphasis on tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3)s and 501(c)(4)s), including a combination within health care providers, health plans, private foundations, and other community organizations.
