Director, Privacy & Data Protection: Join BDO as a Director in their thriving Privacy & Data Protection Practice, providing global solutions for clients' data protection and privacy needs. Job Duties:
- Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies for client C-suite/board
- Build cross-cultural functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs
- Manage BDO USA team members and collaborate with BDO Member Firms and offshore team members
- Provide detailed information to clients on various domestic and global privacy laws
- Comply with BDO's Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks
- Establish new relationships to drive new opportunities for BDO
- Manage and maintain relationships with client professionals and introduce other BDO professionals to expand on existing relationships
- Ensure clients receive timely and thoughtful responses to questions and inquiries
- Build relationships with other BDO professionals and cross-sell into different industries and services
- Ensure corporate clients receive high-quality services
- Update CRM to ensure accurate pipeline reporting
- Review and provide feedback on client reports
- Develop proposals and respond to RFP/RFIs
- Utilize knowledge of client needs to develop project and resource plans, establish reporting and metrics, and provide regular updates
- Participate in business unit, legal, IT, privacy, and governance meetings and interviews
- Proofread and edit executive reports
- Manage BDO client and BDO Partner expectations
- Mentor team members and ensure consistency in work product and BDO standards
- Manage multiple large, complex, and long-term engagements and clients
- Manage client expectations, including presenting to senior level executives
- Support the Data Protection Officer for clients
- Develop and manage project budgets and review invoices
- Act as a leader and maintain a positive attitude towards clients and firm personnel
- Manage a team of professionals on a project or regional basis

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensure team members are trained on relevant software, tools, and processes
- Evaluate and assist in the professional development of team members
- Deliver performance feedback and evaluations

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree required, master's or other advanced degrees preferred
- 10+ years of consulting experience and 3+ years of data protection or privacy experience required
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing large, complex privacy projects required
- One or more privacy certifications and knowledge of privacy enabled technology solutions preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of database systems and software development lifecycle preferred
- Multilingual capabilities preferred
- Executive presence with the ability to act as the primary ,000

NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $200,000 - $225,000
