A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a highly qualified Mid-to-Senior-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent academic credentials, exceptional writing and communication skills, and significant experience in managed care or healthcare law.

 

Duties:

  • Handle multiple cases and/or manage regulatory or compliance matters related to managed care or health care.
  • Serve as the point person on litigation and/or counseling, coordinating with other associates and staff.
  • Act as a primary client contact, providing effective communication and strategic guidance.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all aspects of litigation and arbitration proceedings, including discovery, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on legal issues related to managed care litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managed care or health care law is required.
  • Significant case management and/or client counseling experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing regulatory or compliance matters in the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and clients.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in California or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
