Responsibilities:

- Exercise strong judgement to advise The Trade Desk team and contribute to the overall success of the business
- Structure, draft, negotiate, and review a variety of commercial agreements
- Continually improve legal processes to support global scaling efforts
- Provide practical advice on legal issues, risks, and company policies
- Identify, research, analyze, and advise teams on relevant legal topics
- Work closely with business development and client service teams
- Distill complex legal concepts into layman's terms

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in a nationally/internationally-recognized law firm or in-house legal department
- California bar admission or ability to register as In-House Counsel in California
- Juris doctorate from a top-tier US law school
- Experience negotiating with large global companies preferred
- Strong legal skills, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Business acumen and strong judgement
- Sense of humor a plus
