Job Description:

CLA, a top 10 national professional services firm, is seeking a Tax Manager/Director to join their growing Real Estate Tax practice in Los Angeles. The firm's purpose is to create opportunities every day for their clients, people, and communities through industry-focused wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services. Responsibilities:

- Manage and develop relationships with clients in the real estate industry.
- Assist clients in meeting their tax and financial planning objectives.
- Conduct research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues.
- Review and sign tax returns and serve as a subject matter expert when needed.
- Mentor and develop staff, while overseeing client engagement teams.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA certification.
- For the Tax Director position, a JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of a CPA certification.
- For the Tax Manager position, a JD may be accepted in lieu of a CPA certification.
- Desire to work for a firm that supports career growth.
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem-solve.
- Passion for helping clients succeed strategically.

Compensation Strategy:

CLA's approach to compensation focuses on collaboration and career growth. They offer competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in their people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.

For the Tax Manager/Director position in California, the salary range is $103,000 - $185,000.
