Senior Trial Attorney - Los Angeles, CA (Remote):

- Represents Allstate and its clients in legal cases, including bodily injury, property damage, and financial cases
- Conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, and depositions
- Provides counsel to business clients and collaborates with other legal teams
- Monitors and reviews new laws and regulations, providing advice on their impact
- Juris Doctorate and member in good standing of state of practicing for the state of California required
- Minimum of three years of litigation and/or subrogation experience
- Experience with insurance defense preferred
- Ability to work well with a team and handle a large case inventory
- Must be able to lift and move heavy materials and travel within the Los Angeles and Los Angeles County area
- Compensation: $82,, per year + bonus potential

Key Responsibilities:

- Review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy
- Contact clients to discuss their case and answer any questions
- Review all documentary evidence
- Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
- Conduct depositions and examinations under oath and prepare summary documents
- Prepare and conduct court appearances
- Conduct settlement/dispositive proceedings
- Try and/or arbitrate cases and prepare motions in liminie and summary documents
- Draft post-trial motions
- Prepare for and participate in appeals
- Provide legal opinions to claims clients
- Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate
- Manage projects
- Second chair as needed
- Review and determine strategy for legal issues
- Participate in business process reviews with claims clients

Requirements:

- Juris Doctorate and member in good standing of state of practicing for the state of California
- Minimum of three years of litigation and/or subrogation experience
- Experience with insurance defense preferred
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and the internet
- Ability to work well with others on a team of attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants
- Ability to handle a large case inventory
- Must be able to lift and move heavy materials and travel within the Los Angeles and Los Angeles County area
- Ability to work in a remote work environment

Compensation and Benefits:

- Compensation offered for this role is $82,, per year and is based on experience and qualifications
- This role is also bonus eligible
