Job Title: In-House Counsel - Legal and Risk Management
Location: Atlanta, GA; Lancaster, PA; Lawrenceville, NJ

Job Summary:

WSP, a leading global engineering and consultancy company, is looking for an experienced In-House Counsel to join our legal team. This role requires a strong background in construction, mining, oil & gas, hydro-electrical power, or environmental law, gained from a top law firm or in-house environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong business acumen. This is a full-time, regular position with opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Negotiate consulting, engineering, and construction contracts for various industries, including infrastructure, manufacturing, power, oil & gas, mining, and environmental and remediation services
- Advise on risk mitigation strategies and provide practical legal advice to Operations Managers
- Manage litigation and claims
- Collaborate with all business units and provide a strategic blend of business and legal advice
- Advise on internal and external communications

Required Qualifications:

- 7 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, with 3 to 5 years in the construction, mining, oil & gas, hydro-electrical power, or environmental law industry preferred
- Law degree from a recognized institution and membership in good standing with a bar
- In-house experience working with an international organization
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to provide sound business and legal advice
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong business acumen and judgment
- Competent computing skills

Job Location and Schedule:

This position is based in Atlanta, GA, with opportunities in Lancaster, PA and Lawrenceville, NJ as well. The job schedule is full-time, with a day shift and up to 20% travel required.
