A law firm is currently seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney for their Alpharetta, GA office with 3-5 years of bankruptcy experience. The Bankruptcy Attorney will be responsible for the management of routine bankruptcy matters, including the drafting and reviewing of pleadings and claims filed in bankruptcy cases. The role may involve attending hearings, responding to general firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries, and other duties as assigned. The attorney will review filings on behalf of clients, monitor electronic filings (ECFs), and resolve routine bankruptcy matters. Regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court is crucial. The candidate should possess knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws.

 

Duties:

  • Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
  • Draft and review pleadings and claims filed in bankruptcy cases.
  • Attend hearings as necessary.
  • Respond to general firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
  • Review filings on behalf of clients.
  • Monitor all electronic filings (ECFs).
  • Resolve routine bankruptcy matters.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.
  • Adhere to bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of bankruptcy experience.
  • Law degree (JD).
  • License to practice law required; license to practice in Georgia preferred.
  • Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Georgia preferred.
