A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a dedicated Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in handling construction defect cases and providing legal support to clients in this specialized area of law.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to construction defect cases.
• Assist in drafting various legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations.
• Represent clients in mediation sessions, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy development.
• Review and analyze construction contracts, building codes, and other relevant documents.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations about construction defect claims.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
• 1-6 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on construction defect litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with construction law and building codes is advantageous.

Education:
