Job Overview: A law firm specializing in family law is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, collaborating on case strategy, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.

Job Details:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 family law cases with varying complexities.
• Collaborate with the principal attorney on overall case strategy and court hearings.
• Prepare legal documents, including filing petitions (divorce, legal separation, parentage), responses, discovery documents, financial disclosures, requests for orders, and motions, and attend simple hearings.
• Handle settlement negotiations and, with the assistance of an Associate Attorney, conduct evidentiary hearings or trials, shadowing the principal attorney in court as needed.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited school.
• Full California State Bar license in good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience in family law.
• High ethical standards with a genuine focus on helping families resolve legal problems.

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited school.

Certifications:

• Full California State Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of family law.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
