The Divisions/Sections/Units are as follows:

Solicitor General's Office
The Solicitor General's Office oversees appellate litigation for the Office of the Attorney General and collaborates on all phases of significant litigation with other attorneys in the Department. Work in the Solicitor General's Office frequently involves constitutional issues, statutory interpretation, and other complex civil litigation. Interns will work with the Solicitor General and Deputy Solicitors General to perform legal research; draft research memos; draft motions, briefs, and other pleadings; and prepare for court hearings and oral arguments. Interns may also have the opportunity to attend court hearings.

The program generally runs from the first week in June through the second week in August.

The primary goal of our internship program is to give law students a hands-on opportunity to experience a unique public law practice. In addition to "real life" lawyering experiences, interns will also have the opportunity to attend out of office events. These events may include prison tours and tours of the Public Safety Training Center and the Georgia Crime Lab.

Typically, one intern is assigned to each of the legal divisions/sections. The Divisions/Sections/Units are as follows:
