Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a trusted tax technical resource by building relationships and responding to inquiries from team members
- Lead resolution of complex tax technical matters with high levels of uncertainty and risk
- Collaborate with individuals at all levels to identify opportunities and expand resources for tax technical services
- Conduct and communicate technical tax research and findings
- Manage projects and provide coaching and development to support tax practice initiatives
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to facilitate tax technical training
- Develop internal and external written communications related to technical tax matters and law developments
- Evaluate implications of new tax laws and provide recommendations to tax leadership
- Participate in activities to gain visibility and recognition within a technical specialization

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for emphasis in accounting or related field; Advanced degree in Taxation highly desired
- Minimum of 7 years of tax professional experience, with experience in public accounting or law firm, and/or tax due diligence and M&A tax consulting preferred
- CPA or Bar License required
- Experience coaching and managing a team, with a focus on technical development of tax professionals
- Advanced knowledge of technical taxation and associated structures, with the ability to research tax positions
- Familiarity with research software and comfortable working with the Internal Revenue code, regulations, and authorities
- Self-directed with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously in ambiguous circumstances
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and present to large or small groups
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
