Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks transportation, admiralty, and maritime law associate attorney with 2 years of experience as an associate attorney, legal officer, corporate counsel or related legal experience, drafting and reviewing service agreements; representing international clients in international commercial law matters; and, providing legal counsel and representing clients in civil litigation matters. The candidate will counsel and defend clients in the areas of domestic and international marine, aviation, and intermodal transportation cargo casualties and commercial trade dispute, as well as advise clients on legal issues arising from international agency relationships. Will review and advise on regulatory compliance, regulatory licensing, and security initiative issues. Represent clients in investigations and proceedings with federal agencies, including Customs and Border Protection, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Maritime Commission, and Departments of Treasury and Commerce. Review, draft and negotiate documents, including Terms and Conditions, shipper agreements, broker agreements, equipment charters, and interlining agreements. Conduct risk exposure analysis and develop operating procedures and claims training. Coordinate with attorney members of CargoLaw Network? in connection with claims and litigations across the . and 87 other trading nations. Must be licensed to practice law in California.
