Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney licensed in North Carolina with substantial experience defending a range of civil litigation claims, including but not limited to construction litigation, trucking and transportation, products liability, professional liability, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong track record of successfully handling cases through trials and arbitrations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Manage caseload efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience defending civil litigation claims.
  • Preferably experienced in handling matters related to construction litigation, trucking and transportation, product liability, professional liability, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, and commercial litigation.
  • Strong advocacy skills with experience conducting trials and arbitrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
