A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. Admitted to practice in Illinois, the candidate should have 3-6 years of relevant experience, including direct exposure to AmLaw 100 firms or SEC experience.

 

Duties:

  • Handle investments in, or formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Manage secondary transactions and structure separately managed accounts.
  • Participate in structuring carry vehicles as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Ensure timely completion of work products and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements:

  • . degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Illinois.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC environment.

 

Skills:

  • Transferable skills and a strong academic background.
