DESCRIPTION:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Real Estate Development Manager to support the expansion of their Data Center Network in the . This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and innovative company and play a key role in the development of AWS's infrastructure platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead deal engagement, negotiation, and closing of real estate sites
- Manage the entitlement process and jurisdictional engagement for transactions
- Develop site plans that deliver the best product while achieving investment assumptions
- Work cross-functionally to develop project schedule and budget
- Partner with local jurisdictions and attend meetings and hearings related to projects
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to inform a regional real estate development strategy
- Build and lead teams of vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AWS's master plan design principles and best practices for entitlements
- Communicate project entitlement status across multiple teams and management levels
- Some travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or related fields
- 6+ years of experience in real estate development, law, engineering, or master planning in a technical industry
- 5+ years of experience performing land entitlement functions with a combination of internal and external resources
- 5+ years of experience in site due diligence, site development, and negotiation of entitlement agreements for large complex projects
- Master's degree or higher (including Juris Doctor) preferred
- Understanding of and experience in the Data Center industry
- Experience in public-private partnerships
- Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements related to Internet infrastructure
