A law firm based in St. Louis is seeking a Health Care Attorney to handle a diverse range of corporate transactions and regulatory matters for health care organizations. The candidate will work with health care systems, hospitals, health insurance companies, long-term care providers, physician practices, and other related businesses. Current licensure to practice law in the state is required.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on corporate transactions and regulatory matters for health care organizations.
  • Manage legal issues related to Fraud and Abuse, Stark Law, Medicare reimbursement, hospital-physician relationships, provider-payor relationships, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for health care transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on health care laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local health care laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in regulatory proceedings and negotiations with government agencies.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Current licensure to practice law in the state.
  • 5+ years of experience managing regulatory and corporate transactional matters in the health care industry.
  • In-depth understanding of Fraud and Abuse, Stark Law, Medicare reimbursement, hospital-physician relationships, provider-payor relationships, and HIPAA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
