Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, regulatory investigations, and other legal matters
- Represent KPMG and its professionals in litigation proceedings and provide legal advice to the firm and its leaders
- Develop and implement strategies to successfully defend litigation and regulatory matters
- Collaborate with outside counsel and other members of the Office of General Counsel (OGC)
- Report to and consult with the Vice Chair for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance/General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation
- Assist in developing financial projections for supervised matters

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 18 years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in the .
- Experience with complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with high-quality results
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Collaborative and client-service oriented
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Salary Information:

- Salary range: $331,000 - $737,000 in California
- Salary determined based on skills, experience, and market considerations
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k), and personal well-being benefits
- Personal Time Off and firmwide breaks for holidays
