Job Overview: A law firm in Huntington, WV, seeks a knowledgeable and experienced Veterans Disability Attorney to represent clients in their VA disability claims. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in VA disability representation and possess strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Prepare for client hearings by analyzing cases and interpreting relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-hearings with clients to review case information and advise them of court processes.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for effective case presentation.
• Represent clients in court regarding their VA disability claims.
• Assist VA team members with questions and client concerns.
• Attend virtual hearings and effectively advocate for clients.
• Draft briefs and other legal documents as necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in VA disability representation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in West Virginia or eligible for admission by motion.
• Strong understanding of VA disability laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the West Virginia State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
