The ideal candidate will have significant experience in vendor procurement and outsourcing matters, payment processing arrangements, financial service technology and operations agreements, financial back office activities, and/or corporate transactions. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients on various transactional matters, including vendor procurement and outsourcing, payment processing arrangements, financial service technology and operations agreements, financial back office activities, and corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to technology transactions and commercial dealings.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide practical advice and solutions to clients.
  • Assist clients in navigating privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including drafting privacy policies, conducting privacy assessments, and advising on compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify legal risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to manage and oversee transactional matters and provide support as needed.
  • Stay updated on developments in commercial and technology law, including changes in regulations and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • 3-5 years of transactional experience, focusing on vendor procurement and outsourcing matters, payment processing arrangements, financial service technology and operations agreements, financial back office activities, and/or corporate transactions.
  • Prior privacy experience is a plus.
  • Excellent academic performance with a strong understanding of commercial and technology law principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to provide practical legal advice and solutions to clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
