## Contract Attorney
The Alaska Public Defender Agency (Agency) is seeking contract attorneys to provide legal representation to indigent individuals in criminal cases across the state of Alaska. Contractors will be compensated on either a flat fee or hourly basis and the Agency will cover some related case expenses and services.

### Qualifications
- Must be admitted to the Alaska bar
- Must possess an active State of Alaska business license
- Must maintain professional liability insurance to perform contractor work for the Agency
- Must have trial experience
- Must possess outstanding writing and analytical skills
- Must be able to work independently to research and compose legal briefs
- Must possess strong oral advocacy skills

### Responsibilities
Contractors will be expected to handle cases to completion at the trial court level.

### Compensation
Compensation for this role will be provided on either a flat fee or hourly basis. The Agency will also cover some related case expenses and services.
