A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Cheyenne. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on high-quality projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience in the renewable energy industry and with various agreements related to project development and finance. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on renewable energy projects
  • Review and negotiate power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Provide legal advice and support on project development and finance matters
  • Draft and review legal documents and agreements
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on renewable energy regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Handle various legal matters related to project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state Bar

 

Skills:

  • Experience with renewable energy project development and finance
  • Knowledge of power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
