The Division of Legal Services (DLS) is seeking experienced Attorneys to join our team in the 17th and 27th Circuits, managed by the Kansas City Litigation office. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice community-based legal work with a focus on representing children in the juvenile court system. Minimum Qualifications:

- Provide comprehensive legal counsel and support to the Department of Social Services (DSS)
- Focus on promoting swift and safe resolution of juvenile court challenges
- Facilitate working relationships with juvenile court partners, local law enforcement, service providers, and family support teams
- Represent children in juvenile court proceedings
- Special focus on permanency, including reunification with a parent, guardianship, and adoption
- Conduct legal research and writing
- Collaborate with a diverse team of attorneys located throughout the state

Salary and Benefits:
- Annual starting salary range of $72,, (commensurate with experience)
