Job Summary:

KPMG, a leading provider of audit, tax, and advisory services, is seeking an experienced Executive Director for our Office of General Counsel (OGC). The Executive Director will join our Litigation group and provide legal support to our Practice Protection Team. Responsibilities:

- Provide counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory investigations
- Represent KPMG in civil litigation and regulatory proceedings
- Develop and implement strategies to defend litigation claims and investigations
- Supervise outside counsel and collaborate with OGC team members
- Report to and consult with Vice Chair and Deputy General Counsel on legal issues
- Assist in financial projections for legal matters

Qualifications:

- Minimum 18 years of experience in well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- JD or LLM from accredited law school and licensed to practice in the US
- Experience in defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations
- Knowledge of accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions a plus
- Ability to manage multiple litigations and projects while meeting deadlines
- Strategic thinking, high ethical standards, and strong communication skills
- Client-service orientation and ability to build effective relationships
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

- Salary ranges vary by location and are determined based on relevant factors such as skills, experience, and market considerations
