A law firm in Oakland is seeking a Senior Employment Class Action Attorney to advocate for clients in wage and hour matters and lead the resolution of complex employment class action cases.

 

Job Overview:

The Senior Employment Class Action Attorney will have the opportunity to fight for clients' rights and achieve significant settlements and verdicts in cases involving employee misclassification, wage violations, and other worker rights violations. They will draft legal documents, develop case strategies, take and defend depositions, and represent clients in court proceedings.

 

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in employment class action cases, including wage and hour matters.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Formulate persuasive arguments and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Exercise common sense and meticulous attention to detail in complex situations.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Employment Class Action law.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Adaptable with meticulous attention to detail.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
